Carrie’s Café debuts Mo State Beef, new fusion menu this fall

When Carrie’s Café opens its doors, diners can expect an experience that blends tradition with innovation. For the first time, the student-run restaurant on Missouri State University’s campus will feature Mo State Beef on its menu, paired with an ambitious Italian-Asian fusion theme.

Carrie’s, located on the fourth floor of Pummill Hall, has become a staple of campus life. Every semester, the restaurant is designed, staffed, and operated by hospitality students as part of a capstone course led by senior instructor Wajeana Bonczyk.

“This is my 17th semester teaching the class, which means it’s my 17th restaurant concept,” Bonczyk said. “The students run everything, from research and recipe testing to managing the floor during service.”…
