SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield used bookstore, BookMarx, has announced it will be adding video rentals for next year.
According to BookMarx’s blog, a video rental store will be housed in the back room of Bookmarx in March 2026 called Mister Googorium’s Movie Emporium. The store, located at 325 E. Walnut Street, will be stocking theatrically released films only, but the blog mentioned possibly adding interesting “oddities”.
Although knowing fully well that it will be competing against streaming, BookMarx believes a bookstore with an added video rental feature can only benefit the business…
