The fall color came on slowly this year, thanks to warm conditions through much of October. The chill finally came in the closing weeks of the month, setting the fall color change into full gear.
And, things were looking good last week, late but good. That’s when Mother Nature decided to send a winter-level round of cold to the area that short-circuited the whole process.
