McDonald’s, Tyson Foods donate 40,000 pounds of protein to Ozarks Food Harvest

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Ozarks Food Harvest (OFH) announced Friday that they have received a 40,000-pound donation of protein-rich food from Tyson Foods and McDonald’s as part of their partnership.

As part of the donation, Tyson Foods gave the Food Bank more than 40,000 pounds of chicken breast fillet fritters. The company donated in honor of McDonald’s $17,000 donation to OFH’s Hungerthon event.

Ozarks Food Harvest says the donation will help provide over 30,000 meals through their network of 270 charities.

“Local McDonald’s owners, operators and their families across the greater Springfield area greatly value our commitment to Ozarks Food Harvest. We support the important work being done at The Food Bank and have seen firsthand the impact they have in the community,” said Ryan Blumenstock, McDonald’s local owner and operator. “Alongside our partners at Tyson, we’re excited to give back for the 18th year in a row. We make these donations to support hunger-relief efforts in the Ozarks and let our neighbors facing hunger know how much we care.”…
