The cold weather on Sunday and Monday is but a distant memory. Temperatures rose to the low 70s on Thursday afternoon, and today and Saturday will be even warmer. We may be warm enough to tie or exceed daily records in the Ozarks!
A full day of sunshine today will quickly push temperatures into the 70s. Springfield will find highs within a degree of the daily record of 78° set back in 1973. Tonight will be warm, in the upper 50s to low 60s, up to 20° warmer than normal. Saturday records are also in jeopardy of being tied or broken, even more so than today.
