Independence man gets 17 years for stabbing in 2024

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – An Independence, Mo., man will spend 17 years In prison after pleading guilty today (11/25/25) to domestic assault and a stabbing in Bois D’Arc in 2024.

Edward Craig Storms, 55, was sentenced to 14 years for domestic abuse with serious injury and three years for armed criminal action, according to online court records.

Storms was arrested in September 2024 after Greene County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of West Farm Road 128 in Bois D’Arc, where they found a male victim with a stab wound in his neck.
