Victim identified in fatal firework facility fire; investigation continues

PLEASANT HOPE, Mo. — The Division of Fire Safety has released the name of the AM Pyrotechnics employee who died in a fire on November 26.

Officials tell OzarksFirst that the employee’s name was Chad Eaves.

Mike O’Connell, a spokesperson for the Missouri Department of Public Safety, tells OzarksFirst, “Due to the extent of the fire and structural damage, no definitive determination could be made regarding the cause of the fire, and it was classified as undetermined.”

O’Connell says the structure that caught fire was used for storage; therefore, “the company is still able to manufacture if it chooses to and its state permit is still active.”…
