SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The first of several trials in the 2023 fatal shooting of Chaviz Nguyen is now in jury deliberations.
Elysha Bedell, who was 19 years old at the time of his arrest, is facing first-degree murder charges for the shooting death of Nguyen and the assault of Nguyen’s girlfriend at the time, who was pregnant with Nguyen’s child.
