SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A teenage girl was hospitalized Thursday after police say she was stabbed in the neck during an argument inside a Springfield home. The woman accused in the incident is now in custody at the Greene County Jail.
According to online court records, Ronie King, 50, of Springfield, is charged in Greene County Circuit Court with first-degree assault — serious physical injury or special victim, a class A felony, and felony armed criminal action.
Springfield police responded around 2:44 p.m. Dec. 4 to a home on an assault report. Officers found the victim hiding in a bedroom closet with a deep laceration to the front of her neck. The probable cause statement says the bleeding had been controlled and the teen was able to breathe normally…
