SPRINGFIELD, MO – Detours will be in place for a road on the city’s north side due to an ongoing construction project.
Starting today, December 9th, Norton Road will be closed for a stretch west of Melville Road. MoDOT says the closure will last through Tuesday, December 23rd. The 2-week-long closure will allow contractors to work on realigning the road and rebuilding the intersection, as part of a $5.1-million improvement project.
At this time, Norton remains open to the east of the intersection, and Melville is still open to the north. Drivers will still have access to entrances to businesses on either side of the intersection, but access through the work zone at Norton-Melville will be blocked…
