SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Seniors should take extra precautions as cold weather poses unique risks to older adults.
Kevin Rusenstorm, chief operations officer at Senior Age, said a dangerous cold can be particularly dangerous for vulnerable age groups.
“It can be really debilitating. You know, if their phone does not work because of power outages. They then can’t get out because of their gate and walking. They may be unsure of how to manage walking through the snow and ice,” Rusenstorm said…
