Nixa woman arrested for driving carelessly with a baby while intoxicated

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has reported that they have arrested Nixa resident Brenna Owens, 43, for driving while intoxicated with her baby in the car.

According to authorities, they received information about a vehicle driving recklessly on West State Highway 14 in Douglas County and observed it driving partially on the wrong side of the highway.

Deputy Harley, officer on duty, made a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Brenna Owens, and the vehicle contained her child.

Authorities say Owens was unable to provide a valid license and admitted to losing her license for a prior DWI.
