Firefighters battle house fire, extreme temperatures

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — Early Sunday morning about 5:50 a.m. E-911 were alerted to a 2-story house fire with flames showing.

Aurora City Fire, Aurora Rural Fire, Aurora Marionville Police, Monett Fire, Monett Rural Fire, and EMS responded.

We assisted by laying in a supply line to supply water to Aurora City’s ladder truck, then we assisted with fire attack sending crew interior.”

No residents were out of the home safely and no firefighters were injured fighting the fire.

Overnight bitter cold temps dropped to about 9°.
