Plans move forward for Route 66 plaza in downtown Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MO – City leaders are moving forward with a new feature downtown that will honor an important part of local and national history.

Plans for a “Birthplace of Route 66 Plaza” are moving forward after, earlier this month, the city council approved a donation of land from Missouri State University to build the feature.
