Pursuit in Nixa leads to recovery of stolen items, meth found in car

NIXA, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) -A vehicle pursuit in Nixa leads to the arrest of two people for allegedly possessing stolen items and meth.

According to the Nixa Police Department, on Dec. 18, officers located a vehicle reported stolen from Joplin. The driver refused to stop and fled, leading to a brief pursuit westbound on Highway 14 out of Nixa. Officers quickly ended the pursuit with no injuries to officers or members of the public.

Police said the driver, Tanner Counts, and a female passenger, Brittany Osburn, were taken into custody at the scene. During the investigation, officers recovered stolen construction tools, stolen computers, suspected fraudulent checks, a firearm, and meth from inside the vehicle…
