SPRINGFIELD–The championship games for the 80th Annual Blue & Gold Tournament and the 14th Annual Pink & White Lady Classic will feature the top-2 seeds in all four title bouts.
In the Pink Division, No. 1 seed, Strafford, ran passed No. 4 seed, Republic, 59-30 to advance to Tuesday’s championship at 1 p.m. at the O’Reilly Family Event Center. The Lady Indians will meet No. 2 seed, Marshfield, after the Lady Jays took care of the No. 3 seed, West Plains Zizzers, 51-42.
In the White Division, No. 1 seed, Kickapoo built a monster, 21-point, first half lead against No. 4 seed Hillcrest and ended up winning, 53-40 to punch their ticket to Tuesday’s championship. The Lady Chiefs will go for their third consecutive Pink & White championship, but they’ll have to go through No. 2 seed, Logan-Rogersville to do so.
