SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Many people begin the new year with fitness goals, but ramping up exercise routines too quickly can lead to injuries, health officials warn.
Overuse injuries such as shin splints, tendonitis, and knee pain are common among people who increase their activity levels too rapidly. Sprains, strains and back or neck pain also frequently occur from sudden movements or poor form.
