SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — After doing some repairs on Cafe Cusco’s floor, an antique item was unearthed, sparking curiosity and excitement.
According to Cafe Cusco’s Facebook page, while repairing some floor joists and removing remnants of old clay pipes, an antique apothecary bottle was found in the soil.
The post stated that after searching online, Cusco is sure it’s a bottle used by pharmacists in the late 1880s or early 1900s.
The bottle was found to have the marking, “DR S B H & CO PR. 08”. This implies that the bottle was likely a part of the Catarrh Remedy and Peruna scandal in the 19th century…
