ST. CLAIR, Mo. — At 11:52 this morning, the National Weather Service office in Springfield, Missouri, issued a tornado warning for the eastern portion of St. Clair County as a severe thunderstorm showed signs of radar indicated rotation.
Viewers living in the area were able to snap a photo of this tornado-warned system. In the image attached above, you can see a faint outline of a possible funnel cloud over the tree line.
The storm intensified just to the East of Hwy 13 and south of Osecola, roughly near Osage Heights. As the possible tornado traveled West of 13, it began to broaden out and quickly dissipated.
