SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Mercy Hospital will close its optometry clinic in Springfield on April 3, forcing patients with ongoing eye treatments to find new providers.
The clinic, located on the first floor of the surgery center on Cherokee Street, provides care for patients with conditions like glaucoma. Mercy operates two eye clinics at the location, optometry and ophthalmology, but only the optometry clinic is closing.
Lisa Armstrong and her husband, Ronnie, have been patients at Mercy since the fall of 2024, when Ronnie was diagnosed with glaucoma. He has had surgery on both eyes and is scheduled for another procedure at the end of January…
