Bitter cold grips the Ozarks, snow poossible this weekend

Happy MLK Day! Temperatures this afternoon will be stuck below freezing in the mid-20s. Clouds this morning will gradually clear out of Central and Southern Missouri, while lingering in northern Arkansas. Winds will come with a bite, too, from the northwest at 10 to 15 mph. A few snow flurries are also possible today.

A southwest wind will kick in tonight and will help blow out the frigid airmass. We’ll find temperatures tonight in the low teens. We’ll warm into the mid-40s for Tuesday afternoon under sunny skies. Southwest winds will steadily blow around 10 to 20 mph.
