SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Springfield City Utilities has all of its available power generation units running today to respond to demand during extreme cold.
CU spokesperson Jamie Presley told Ozarks First this morning that its peak shaving plant is also available, which injects propane into its natural gas system to help meet natural gas demand.
“We are seeing high demand on the system for both electricity and natural gas,” she said, and CU is “monitoring the situation closely and working with our suppliers to meet the demand.”…
