Ozarks schools cancel, move classes online due to snow, cold

While the snow has mostly stopped for now, school districts and colleges in the area are either cancelling classes for Monday or moving to alternative methods of instruction like online learning.

According to local reports to the National Weather Service in Springfield, the Ozarks area has received anywhere from 10 inches of snow (Ash Grove) to 6.5 inches (Mount Vernon and Ava), as of noon on Sunday, Jan. 25. While some main roads in Springfield have been cleared, other places are reporting poor roadway conditions, leading to school cancelations.
