Arrest warrants issued for men accused of cashing more than $9,000 worth of fraudulent checks in Jefferson City

Arrest warrants are issued for two men from southern Missouri, accused of cashing almost $10,000 worth of fraudulent checks at banks in Jefferson City.

According to court documents, the crimes occurred in July of 2024 when Billy Letterman, of Mountain View, and Kevin Wallace, of Springfield, entered two Jefferson Bank locations and cashed four fraudulent checks against the corporate account, “Clinton Luebbering Construction”.

Court records state that by the time the bank contacted police, they’d already reached out to the business and confirmed the checks were fake and refunded the company…
