This week in Greene County food inspection reports, a convenience store was cited for mouse feces, a restaurant had to discard nearly 20 items due to a cooler being too warm and another restaurant had no running water.
During a Jan. 27 visit, Springfield-Greene County Health Department inspectors found mouse poop at Casey’s General Store at 2805 N. Kansas Expressway. At Tortilleria Perches, 1601 W. Sunshine St., a reach-in cooler was found to have potentially hazardous food items at temperatures from 44 degrees Fahrenheit to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, according to a Jan. 21 inspection. Both spots will require re-inspections.
Inspectors visited Smoke Shack BBQ at 723 N. Dogwood Ave. in Strafford on Jan. 21 to find “no running water nor hot water” available, leading to a re-inspection. The SGCHD did not list a result for this inspection and did not reply to a request for clarification by press time.
