SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A dedicated Ozarks couple departed today for the Olympic Games in Milan, Italy.
Dan Ackerson and his wife, Denise, from Seneca, left Springfield-Branson National Airport at noon, ready to support the international event for three and a half weeks.
Dan first started volunteering in 2002 in Salt Lake City at the recommendation of a friend who worked security for the 1996 games in Atlanta. This marks Dan’s sixth time volunteering at the Olympics, while Denise is making her third appearance…
