A Springfield man is in custody following a police pursuit on Friday.
35-year-old John Richardson was arrested on Friday following a car chase that began in Labette County. Deputies from the Labette County Sheriff’’s Office attempted a traffic stop on a Jeep Wrangler that had been reported as stolen. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene. The chase eventually led into Crawford County, near the City of Cherokee. Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to stop the vehicle as it traveled along 530th Avenue, north of Cherokee. Richardson was arrested and booked into the Crawford County Jail on felony charges of Fleeing & Eluding, Criminal Damage to Property, Possession of Stolen Property, Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement, Possession of Marijuana, and Operating a Vehicle without a Valid Driver’s License…
