OZARK, Mo. (KOAM) — An #AmberAlert was sent statewide Saturday afternoon, January 31:
It was literally minutes later when the vehicle was located via a FLOCK LPR and an officer was able to pull in behind the tan 2003 Toyota Corolla at a gas station in Ozark.
“The difference between searching and finding. Thanks to License Plate Reader (LPR) technology and tips from citizens, this safe recovery occurred less than 10 minutes of the alert going out.

TIMELINE OF ALERT
- 2:13 PM: AMBER Alert was sent regarding a child abduction related to a homicide in Mansfield, Texas.
- 2:20 PM: MSHP Tpr located vehicle, arrested the suspect without incident, and safely recovered the child.
Flock cameras and LPR’s have been under scrutiny by many in recent months. This operation shows one of the positives related to this technology.
