SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A California man has been sentenced after being found guilty of transporting methamphetamine to Springfield for distribution.
According to a United States Department of Justice press release, Dejuan Tyrone Parker, 38, of Los Angeles, California, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison without parole for one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering by U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Bough.
The sentences will run concurrently, and Parker will have to pay a money judgment of $400,000, which will represent proceeds he obtained directly and indirectly from his distribution of methamphetamine during the charged conspiracy.
