SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield City Council is considering the creation of a community improvement district to fund enhancements along a portion of North Glenstone.
The proposed plan would establish an additional 1% district sales tax to pay for area maintenance, security and beautification efforts. This would bring the total tax to 9.1%.
The district would cover the stretch of North Glenstone between I-44 and East Turner Street…
