SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Two people from southwest Missouri have been charged with possessing and intending to distribute over 40 pounds of methamphetamine.
Michael Wilson, 49, of Lamar, and Amber Beck, 34, of Eagle Rock, received a federal criminal complaint of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine. They appeared in court in Springfield on Tuesday after they were both arrested on Monday, Feb. 9.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, during a traffic stop on I-44 in Jasper County on Feb. 7, a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) trooper discovered that Wilson and Beck had approximately 44 pounds of suspected methamethamine.
