Springfield business owner files for bankruptcy; restaurant stays open

A Springfield Thai restaurant owner has filed for bankruptcy, according to court documents, but the owner says it will not affect the restaurant’s operation.

Patrick Netthongkome, also known as Patrick Nett professionally, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Western District of Missouri on Feb. 6. Netthongkome is the owner of Thai Express, a fast-casual Thai food restaurant at 2113 W. Republic Road.

According to court documents, Netthongkome has between $500,001 and $1 million in liabilities to 17 listed creditors…
