The new Republic Branch Library is open to the public, doubling its previous size and offering new amenities.
The library, at 921 N. Lindsey Ave., opened Feb. 2, according to a community announcement.
The 22,000-square-foot facility includes dedicated spaces for children and teens, a Business Connect Center, a 150-seat community room and a Maker Space. The design incorporates natural elements to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Funding and construction
The $11.1 million project was designed by Paragon Architecture and constructed by Nabholz Construction. Funding came from the American Rescue Plan Act, donations and library reserves, according to the announcement.
Expanded services and amenities
