Man pleads guilty to fourth illegal reentry in Christian County

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A man already three times deported from the United States before being arrested for illegal re-entry in Christian County in 2025 has pleaded guilty and faces up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.

The U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release on Wednesday, Feb. 11, that Javier Luis Arias-Zamudio (also known as Jose Luis Cordova), 34, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Judge David P. Rush to a federal indictment charging him with one count of illegal reentry after a felony conviction.

Arias-Zamudio was arrested on Oct. 23, 2025, when deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop and determined that he was unlawfully present in the U.S., court documents state…
