CREVE COEUR, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Mercy Hospital is partnering with Microsoft to test and refine an artificial intelligence tool designed to help nurses document patient care in real time, hospital officials said.
Nurses in Mercy’s orthopedic department have been piloting the technology, called Microsoft Dragon Copilot, for the past year. The system records conversations between nurses and patients during routine assessments and automatically converts them into written notes in the patient’s electronic medical record.
