SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Three people had to be extracted from a pickup truck after it was knocked on its side following a crash on Chestnut Expressway Friday morning.
According to the Springfield Police Department, a Dodge quad cab pickup truck was turning left onto Chestnut Expressway from Dexter Avenue when it collided with a westbound pickup truck and landed on its side.
Four people were in the Dodge pickup when the crash occurred. One person was able to get out of the truck, but the other three occupants had to be extricated by the Springfield Fire Department.

No major injuries were reported, and all people involved in the crash denied medical transport. Chestnut Expressway was closed due to the crash, but it has since reopened.
The SPD Lieutenant on scene emphasized that three occupants who had to be extricated in the Dodge were wearing seatbelts, which contributed to the severity of injuries being less than they might have been…
