Kanakuk disputes podcaster’s claims, demands retraction after Epstein-files episode

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Kanakuk Ministries, the Branson-area Christian youth camp network, is pushing back publicly against claims repeated by a popular podcaster, saying allegations aired to a national audience were “false,” “speculative” and “significant exaggerations.”

In a demand letter dated Jan. 21, attorneys for Kanakuk told host Shawn Ryan to remove part of a podcast episode and issue a public apology within 10 days or face potential legal action.

The letter, sent by Springfield-based attorney Bryan O. Wade of Husch Blackwell LLP, focuses on a comment Ryan made during an interview with U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna that was released Jan. 15…
