Webster County deputy on leave after video of arrest of 70-year-old woman surfaces

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A Webster County deputy is on leave pending an investigation after video surfaced of the arrest of a 70-year-old woman accused of trespassing while walking her dog.

Lidia Matuszek said she was walking her dog on Valentine’s Day when an argument with a neighbor led to her arrest. Neighbors recorded the incident after authorities responded.

Matuszek said she had walked her dog through a grassy area to check her mail for 14 years until a new neighbor complained about her walking through their yard. She then began using the road in front of her complex to reach the mailbox…
