SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man has been arrested after police responded to Eustasis Psychiatric & Addiction Health in Springfield, after reports of shots being fired on Friday, Feb. 20.
According to online court dockets, Joseph Skibel, born in 1972, of Ozark, Missouri, has been charged with second-degree terrorist threat, two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
The probable cause statement says officers dispatched to Eustasis after several people made calls to 911 after shots were fired inside the building.
Multiple callers told police they were hiding inside the building under desks, with some locked inside rooms. Some individuals said they were fleeing the building after the gunfire.
