Republic High School’s current associate principal will take on the role of principal for the 2026-27 school year, according to an announcement from Republic School District.
The Republic School District Board of Education approved Eric Stephens as the next principal for Republic High School during its Feb. 19 meeting. The district will immediately begin its search for a new assistant principal, the news release said.
The leadership announcement is one of many that has taken place at Republic School District in the last few months. The current RHS principal, John Thompson, is taking on the assistant superintendent of academic services role on July 1.
