OZARK, Mo. — Support continues to grow in the Ozarks for fallen Christian County Deputies Gabriel Ramirez and Michael Hislope, as well as injured Christian County Deputy Josh Wahl and Webster County Deputy Austin McCall.
As flowers and balloons continue to shower the memorial for Ramirez and Hislope, many are giving back financially to support the families impacted.
In Ozark, Chastity Koeppen, the owner of B-29 Cafe, is not only taking donations that she plans to match, but is also taking donations in the form of gift cards so any member of law enforcement can eat for free during this time.
“We wanted to feed all of our police officers for free. You had such a combined effort between Ozark PD, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, State Highway Patrol, and those guys are grieving and going through so much. I want to say come in and eat for free when you’re on duty or off duty. We want to feed you because the community wants to say, ‘hey, we know what you guys go through, and putting your life on the line every day,” Koeppen said. “As long as people are donating, we’re matching the funds.”…
