Springfield staple Ebbets Field reveals ‘opening day’
Ebbets Field, which closed its doors in early 2024, announced its “opening day” will be on March 27. The pub will reopen with “a new logo, a fresh new lineup and the same hometown spirit you’ve come to love,” according to a Facebook post.
Sydney and Jerrad Davis purchased the building at 1027 E. Walnut St. in 2025 and have been planning to reopen it with all the nostalgia of the pub intact, including a menu similar to its pre-2022 iteration, according to prior News-Leader reporting.
Ebbets Field has a long history in Springfield, starting with restaurateur Nick Russo opening its first iteration on Cherry Street in 1981.
