SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Strong storms swept across the Ozarks this weekend, bringing large hail, heavy rain and tornado sirens that left many residents scrambling for cover with little warning.
The National Weather Service tracked rotation in several storm cells as they moved across southwest Missouri. While no tornado has been confirmed, forecasters reported wind gusts over 70 mph and pockets of damaging hail.
