City Council approves restructuring of Citizens’ Advisory Board

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Big changes are coming to Springfield’s Citizens’ Advisory Board; the current board does not meet the standards set by the city’s charter.

Section 15 of the city’s charter says that all boards need to have 9 members, those members need to have lived in the city for at least 2 years, and they need to live in the city during their term on the board.

The Citizens’ Advisory Board only has 8 members, and 3 of them do not live in the Springfield city limits. The city council passed a resolution on Monday that’ll restructure the board…
