Springfield man gets prison term for illegal firearm possession

A resident of Springfield, Missouri, has been sentenced in federal court for illegally possessing a firearm.

Joseph Bradley Garrison, 48, received a prison sentence of three years and 10 months from U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Bough after being convicted of unlawful firearm possession. The court ordered that the federal sentence run consecutively with an existing state conviction in Lawrence County, Missouri, case number 12LW-CR01381, which involved charges of second-degree burglary, stealing, and tampering with a motor vehicle.
