More than 3,000 high school students set to gather for Construction Showcase

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — More than 3,000 high school students will gather in Springfield on Wednesday, April 1, for the eighth annual Build My Future Construction Showcase.

The construction showcase runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E-Plex.

A total of 67 hands-on exhibits will be available for 95 schools and academic programs attending from a 24-county area in southern Missouri. Exhibits include skilled trades such as brick laying, roofing, flooring installation, carpentry, and plumbing along with construction related careers like private and civil engineering, architecture, and utility work…
