We did it! Temperatures soared to 90° today for the first time since September, and in the process, records were absolutely shattered.
Not only did we break the record high for today, but we just reached the 3rd warmest temperature ever recorded in the entire month of March. You have to go all the way back to 1929 to find a March day warmer than what we just experienced.
The heat isn’t done yet. We’re expecting another day just like this tomorrow as this historic warm spell hangs on a little longer.
Highs will once again climb into the upper 80s, with a few spots likely hitting 90°. Clouds will begin to increase, though, as a cold front approaches the Ozarks.
That front will bring a big change to start the workweek. By Monday, temperatures will drop nearly 30 degrees compared to the weekend, settling back closer to seasonal averages…
