Tie & Timber Beer Company is nearly ready to serve up fresh slices of pizza in the bustling Cherry and Pickwick area. After venturing out to expand and build a second building on its property in late 2024, the craft brewery will soon welcome guests to enjoy more than just local lagers and ales.
Co-owner Curt Marshall gave the News-Leader a sneak peek at the new expansion as the Tie & Timber Pizza Kitchen nears its full public opening. Here is what to expect from the new restaurant.
When will the new expansion open?
Marshall said while soft openings will happen throughout the next few weeks for family and friends of the business, he is targeting the end of March for a public opening. Until then, training will continue for staff, which the business has roughly doubled, to smooth out operations.
To celebrate, he said, a grand opening event will likely be combined with the brewery’s eighth anniversary celebration on May 9.
What’s on the menu?
The main focus of the new venture is pizza. Co-owner Jen Marshall has been testing pizza dough for years, though she began focusing on dialing in Tie & Timber’s own recipes in the past year. The restaurant will focus on three types of pizzas — Detroit, California round pizza and a thin-and-crispy tavern style.
