More than 3,000 high school students are expected to attend the Build My Future Construction Showcase on April 1. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E-Plex, according to a community announcement.
Students will be able to participate in 67 hands-on exhibits representing various skilled trades. These include brick laying, roofing, flooring installation, carpentry and plumbing. The event also features careers related to construction, such as private and civil engineering, architecture and utility work.

A total of 95 schools and academic programs from a 24-county area in southern Missouri will take part in the showcase. Organizers expect attendees to explore a wide range of careers, from design to engineering to labor.
