SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) -A Springfield man has died from his injuries after a vehicle crash involving a bicyclist in Springfield on Wednesday morning.
According to the Springfield Police Department, on March 25, officers responded to a vehicle crash involving a bicyclist at the intersection of Bolivar Road and Kansas Expressway at around 8:50 a.m.
Police say that Stanley Maxwell Jr., 44, of Springfield, was riding a bicycle westbound on Bolivar Road and rode into the northbound lanes of Kansas Expressway, hitting the rear of a northbound trailer unit being pulled by a semi. Maxwell was brought to the hospital with serious injuries.
